The Auditor-General is acting Executive Director because the position is currently vacant.
Bethia Gibson is our General Manager Operations, responsible for leading and managing Audit New Zealand's practices nationally.
Chong Lim is the General Manager of our Professional Practices Group. Chong is responsible for developing and maintaining our high professional standards, competence, and quality.
Our Corporate Services team, which supports both Audit New Zealand and the OAG, is led by Peter Grant, Assistant Auditor-General – Corporate Services.
Our locations
Our staff are in seven locations - Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Our National Office is in Wellington.
We work in a project matrix – this means we assemble the best team to deliver audits or other services for clients. This can include people from different locations. Working in this way also means our staff enjoy greater variety and challenges, and get to work with a range of skilled professionals.
