Specialist Assurance Services

Our team offers our clients services relating to:

  • assurance over contract and project management;
  • procurement, including tendering;
  • asset management;
  • risk management practices;
  • performance management and reporting; and
  • sensitive and discretionary expenditure.

Specialist Assurance Services are generally contestable, and the team is required to undertake business development activities.

As an Assurance Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • extending and/or developing new client relationships to generate new opportunities;
  • providing support to our audit teams in our specialist areas;
  • raising internal awareness of specialist assurance services;
  • building internal relationships to ensure clients receive maximum benefit; and
  • maintaining a high level of technical currency/expertise in core service line(s).

Your past experience will demonstrate:

  • serving as a leading practitioner in a least one or two of our service lines;
  • industry and public sector experience; and
  • likely background as an engineer, project manager, assurance consultant, or chartered accountant.

We also have a rapidly growing Information Systems Audit and Assurance team.

Information Systems Audit and Assurance specialists

Your responsibilities will include:

  • assessing the IS risks and controls facing our public sector clients;
  • analysing clients' business systems and applications to determine if there are adequate safeguards for the processing and protection of data;
  • providing support to financial auditors; and
  • carrying out other assignments, such as the evaluation of computer systems in development, and providing assurance over major IS projects.

Your past experience will demonstrate:

  • a minimum of five years' experience in computer auditing or IS risk management;
  • a sound knowledge of technical computer concepts related to hardware architecture, databases, software and security; and
  • experience in the evaluation of project implementation, knowledge of systems development life-cycle methodologies, as well as general IS Auditor (CISA) or security, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
