In my role I do financial audits as well as work with the Information Systems Audit and Assurance Team (ISAA). ISAA looks at an organisation's information technology environment to make sure that it has the reliability and integrity to appropriately and securely manage critical financial information. It sounds a bit complicated, but really it's just a more technical way of giving our auditors assurance that the financial statements they’re looking at give a true and fair view.

Being someone who's naturally curious about the way things work, I really enjoy getting to know more about the entities I'm auditing and how their systems work. I also like that bringing different disciplines to my work helps me to add value to my audits and offer better service to my client.

I came to Audit New Zealand not only because I knew I'd receive great professional development, but because I wanted to join an organisation that values its people and encourages them to contribute all of their skills and experience to their work. I've been given opportunities to learn and grow that I don't think I would have had anywhere else.
