This role could offer an existing Audit Manager a new set of challenges, or could provide the conduit for someone looking to move up to manager level in a professional and employee focused organisation.
The position of Audit Manager is a key role within the leadership team of Audit New Zealand, with a particular focus on audit and team leadership, enterprise/business development, and client relationship management. Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal form, are prerequisites for this role as is the ability to develop and motivate staff. Audit Managers need to be a Chartered Accountant with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, or hold overseas equivalent qualifications that can be converted to CA(NZ) within 12 months, or be Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) qualified.
The position will have direct responsibility for a number of audits and Audit Teams.
The key areas of focus are:
- Excellent team leadership, ensuring that performance is managed, team and individual objectives are achieved, and that staff are actively coached and developed;
- Operational excellence, to achieve team and individual budget and business plan objectives; and
- Client Relationship Management, ensuring that relationships with clients are maintained and enhanced by identifying new opportunities to continue revenue growth.
