Audit Director

Andy joined us in November 2007 and specialises in health and local government work. He also leads our Health sector group (taking over from Stephen Lucy) that provides guidance to staff and clients on sector issues and developments.

Andy has 20 years’ experience in auditing in the public sector. Before joining Audit New Zealand, he worked for the Audit Commission in the United Kingdom as an appointed auditor and managed a portfolio of large local government and health bodies. Andy also held a separate role for the Audit Commission as relationship manager for local government bodies, which involved co-ordinating its Comprehensive Performance Assessment regime. Andy’s career has also included working for Ernst & Young, and he trained in local government.
