Ben Halford
Audit Director

Ben joined Audit New Zealand in 1982. As well as his extensive experience in auditing a range of public sector organisations, Ben has led a number of assignments aimed at providing assurance over key business areas. These have included computer reviews, due diligence reviews, and fraud investigations.
Clarence Susan
Audit Director

Clarence joined Audit New Zealand in June 2009. He manages the audits of a range of clients in the local government sector, council controlled organisations, and Māori trust boards.
Clarence's experience spans 20 years in the private sector focusing on auditing, accounting, taxation, and business advisory services.
Athol Graham
Audit Manager

Athol has worked for Audit New Zealand since 1998. He has gained considerable experience through assignments for a wide range of public sector organisations, including the local government and health sectors in particular, and has worked with Pacific Island governments.
Robyn Dearlove
Manager, Information Systems Audit and Assurance

Robyn joined Audit New Zealand in March 2005, and has managed information systems (IS) audit and assurance reviews for a wide range of public sector entities, with particular emphasis on the central and local government and health sectors.
Some of the larger clients in Robyn's management portfolio include the Department of Internal Affairs; New Zealand Defence Force; Te Wānanga o Aotearoa; University of Waikato; Auckland, Waitemata, Counties Manukau, Waikato, Canterbury, and Southern district health boards; and the larger city councils, such as Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. She is the specialist for the local government sector in our Information Systems Audit and Assurance team.
Before joining Audit New Zealand, Robyn worked for Tauranga City Council for 13 years as the Manager Information Systems. She has been on the board of the Association of Local Government Information Management for 18 years and was a member of the NAMS group for six years. As well as her extensive IS management and IS auditing experience, Robyn has been involved in asset management – having worked on the International Infrastructure Management Manual, and assisting with the implementation of asset management systems in New Zealand Local Government.
Overall, Robyn has worked in the information technology industry for more than 25 years, mainly in the education and local government sectors. She is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
Maree Procter
Audit Manager

Maree joined Audit New Zealand in November 2006. She manages a range of clients in the local government and tertiary sectors, as well as a number of smaller public sector clients.
Maree has prior experience as a finance manager of a Polytechnic and as a contract accountant for a leading New Zealand export company. She gained this experience after completing her professional qualifications at Audit New Zealand.
